Jonas Gratzer was born and raised in Sweden. After several long journeys trough the Asian continent in his youth, he decided to become a freelance photographer. Since 2009 he is based in Bangkok, from where he covers mainly Asia.

His work has taken him across six continents and about forty countries, and his work has been published in multiple publications around the globe.

He is also commissioned by organisations, such as UNICEF, Amnesty, the Global Fund and Save the Children.

In 2015 he was rewarded for his work as a photographer by the FCCT ( Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand ). He received the awards as Photographer of the Year and for Best Picture of the Year in Asia.

His aim as a photographer is to capture the zeitgeist of the contemporary era in Asia.
